On Mother's Day weekend (Saturday and Sunday), moms play for free with at least one paid admission from their child or children. On Father's Day weekend, dads play for free with at least one paid admission from their child or children. Prizes are given out for lowest scores. This is a great way to spend some time with your family. Games only take 30 to 45 minutes, so there is still plenty of time for other Mother's Day and Father's Day activities.
Heritage Day Tournaments
Every year, Albany celebrates Heritage Day. There are fun activities all day, followed by a parade and fireworks. (We have a great view of the fireworks from our course!) On this day, we have a Hole-in-One Tournament. You can play 36 holes for only $2.00! However, you can only hit the ball once on each hole! If you don't get a hole-in-one, you pick up your ball and move on to the next hole. Prizes are given out for most holes-in-one.
Workday Lunch Challenge
How about a free lunch? Get four people from your office and challenge four people from another business to a game of golf. The combined scores for each company determine who gets to buy lunch for the other company. Two people from each company play together to insure there is no "fudging" of scores. A game of golf only takes about 30 minutes, so you will still have time to grab a quick lunch at the Dairy Queen. They have great food, and can have your food to you very quickly.
